A Japanese theatre company founded in 1924 by Kaoru Osanai and Yoshi Hijikata. The financial aid of Hijikata made it possible to build a new theatre in the Tsukiji district in Tokyo, Japan, which was designed to be opposed to the traditional theatre of Kabuki.
